My Educational Background and Philosophy!
I attended high school at Lewis County where I graduated in 1980 with my emphasis in Business. I later attended college at CoSCC where I took a year of businesses classes only to change my major and later obtained an AAS degree in Respiratory Therapy. I soon returned to school at MTSU and with the help of some UTC courses where I obtained my teaching license as well. I currently hold my CPR and First Aide Instructors certification and teach for the public. I believe that one should always be taught that you are a "lifelong" learner and that you should never stop changing and moving forward. I hope to inspire my students and children to reach out for their dreams and never stop until they become what they want to be. My aspiration is to leave a legacy in this life to others of one who served God, her family and friends and as a person who never stopped changing and believing for the better.
Favorite quotes: "One must know that they know that they know in their KNOWER" (my students know what this means) & "Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes".
Some of the things I have accomplished or been a part of in teaching includes obtaining an articulation with CoSCC with Respiratory Therapy where my students can get College Credit, Provided CNA certification opportunities with contracted extra school credit toward graduation, Teacher of the Year, District Teacher of the Year and participating as an Advisory Board member for NHC Scott and Tennessee Technology Center
Below are pictures of my wonderful family and friends! Each picture tells a story of my life. I know that God has blessed me through the lives of so many others. The family that loves me despite my flaws, my friends who stand by me no matter what, the students I teach and encounter on a daily basis, the patients I care for are all a part of what makes me feel so blessed and it is in them are where I find my success.
