EMS Disaster Drill At Crockett Hospital
EMS students from LHS and SHS participated in the county wide disaster drill held at Crockett hospital as well as other hospitals around the state. These students were victims of a chemical exposure and they were decontaminated and ran through the ambulance service, hospital ER and etc in order to test the hospital and EMS ability to work together during a disaster. This was a great experience for our students.
CPR Changes adapted well with EMS Class!
My EMS class did an excellent job in learning the new version of BLS. Here the students are pictured performing CPR in infants. Great Job Everyone!
EMS FIRE FIGHTERS GAVE MOVING LECTURE FOR STUDENTS!
Former Students and Graduates of SHS EMS Class, Jared Ezell and Ethan Ezell both Firefighters working in Lawrence County and Spring Hill came to share a very moving lecture for the EMS class at SHS. "I love seeing my students so engaged and interested. I think this was one of the most inspiring speeches I have heard about the professional and personal lives of those that work in the field of EMS. It is the contribution of their time to share in order to make a difference in students lives that makes our program at SHS what it is. We want to thank all EMS personnel for the time and work they spend in keeping our county safe.
