I have really loved you guys and gals this semester!  How much fun it has been to teach you.  Although we have missed a lot of days in here due to weather and in school related activities, I still feel we accomplished a lot including your making your own webpages!  Pleaes give me feedback about your favorite activities, lessons and give me any positive feedback including ideas that I can use for later in the next semester.  I love giving you a voice to have your say back!  I love blogging!

I have really enjoyed having all of you this year.  You are a very intelligent and hard working bunch of students and I think you have learned a lot. Please give me the feedback on these area.

Students I would like to have your feedback in regard to this class.  #1  Tell me your favorite section and why? #2 Tell me your favorite activity and why?  #3 Tell me your favorite EMS person and why?  #4 Tell me something I can do as a teacher to improve this class for next year if needed?

Consider this your spot to elaborate on your experience during clinicals this year.  I want to hear about your favorite rotations and the experiences that you had that you feel will last a life time.  Please indicate if your rotation impacted your decision to go into the health field.  Rate this class from a 1 to 10.  Thanks to all 6 of you!  You are the cream of the crop!

David Johnson, RRT Director of COSCC Respiratory Care program visits our classroom along with 2 freshman students to demonstrate a highly interactive lesson with integrated hands on activities with the students!  Please post your thanks and appreciation below for his visit.

There are 28,000 dropout or failed students every year in the state of Tennessee.  Teachers are trying to find ways to stop this from happening.  Do you as my student have an opinion of this?  What do you think would help keep students in school or to keep them from failing?  Your opinion does matter to me~!

I invited a guest to speak on "Sign Language Interpretation".  As you were told by our speaker...along with speaking spanish this is one of the most important tools of communication that a health care worker can add to their resume.  Please comment below in response to my guest speaker and if your interested in learning more about sign language.   Thank you.

The people I remembered the most were those Teachers who loved and inspired me and my classmates with whom I socialized and had fun times with.  My classmates and I had a lot of crazy classroom memories that we remembered and talked about and it made me realize that when I do have time to allow a few minutes down time for you to socialize or when we can all stop and laugh at something silly that happened in class together that we are just building special memories that will last a life time!  So, my hope is that you will LEARN of course...but please have fun doing it!  What you do now will be remembered...for better or worse   :)

I am looking for an idea for Community Service for HOSA Club.  I'd love your creative imput!  Any ideas you have would be considered!  Thanks

I think we should do something a little bit different for our legal and ethical section in Rehab...what do you think about videoing a "mock trial" for a case such as malpractice or assault and battery to a patient by a health care professional.  Some of you could be jurors, lawyers and we need a judge...And OH... of course we need a plaintiff and defendant.  If you think this is  a good idea...let me know...and tell me what role would you want to play?  Here at conference I have learned a better way to video than we did the last time.  Remind me to tell you about it!

Thank you for all the VERY nice comments!  I think I have the BEST students ever and I hope you know that I am the one that is so BLESSED to have you all as my students!  I look forward to a great year as well.  Love you all!

My name is Robin Barnett.  I am a Teacher, Respiratory Therapist, CPR Instructor, (new) Dance Team Coach and most importantly of all I am a wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  I love teaching.  I believe that I have the best of both worlds as a professional.  I am able to teach as well as work as a Respiratory Therapist.  I love helping students better themselves and I am absolutely crazy about my family!  I attend a wonderful church at First Assembly of God in Lawrenceburg.  My oldest son Brandon is a Teacher and Coach at Culleoka and he and his Wife Danielle (RN) have recently given me a wonderful grandson named Wilson.  My daughter BreAnna works for a pulmonologist and I enjoy just hanging out with her.   My son Sam attends SHS and is the FCA President and plays Basketball for the SHS Eagles.  My son JW plays Football for Lawrence County.  And last but not least, my Husband Wade is a LCHS teacher and a Sheriff Reserve Deputy for Lawrence County.
